About Doctor
Dr Gurpreet Singh Wander is the Principal of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital. Dr Wander is also the professor of department of Cardiology at DMC&H.
Passed MBBS from Govt. Medical College, Patiala with Honor’s as second-best graduate of the University. During graduation was awarded Merit Scholarship and 3 Silver Medals. Did MD in Medicine and DM in Cardiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh in 1985 & 87. Joined Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana in 1988 as Lecturer and started the cardiology unit, became Reader in 94 and Professor of cardiology in 1998.
Dr Wander has been Principal Investigator of multiple international trials includingthe ASIAN HF Registry, ISCHEMIA Trial, ENGAGE-AF-TIMI 48 Trial, EMPHASIS – HFTrial, LIFENOX Study, MeRes – 1 trial, Ultimaster DES Study, Evaluation of BioMimePhase IV Trial, TUXEDO-India Trial and the REPORT HF Registry.
