About Doctor

Dr. Sonia Singh did her M.B.B.S. from Government Medical College, Amritsar. She did her M.S. (Anatomy) from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana. During her 3 years of post-graduation, she was associated with the Genetics Clinic run by the Department of Anatomy and Human Genetics, CMC, Ludhiana. During the same period she was associated with the Body Donor Programme in Christian Medical College. 

She is presently working as a Professor, actively contributing as mentor in the Mentor-Mentee Program. She is active member of the Medical Education Unit. She is resource faculty for the Revised Basic Course Workshop a Faculty Development Program held under the aegis of NMC nodal centre CMCL. She has done training in Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME), Fellowship of Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) at CMCL-FRI. She has successfully completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BCBR) mandated by NMC. She has done training in IAP-BLS instructor course, The International Certificate on Principles of Bioethics and Human Rights under UNESCO chair in Bioethics (Haifa). 

She is senior buddy in the Buddy Program of Punjab Government. She has received an award from Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana for commendable work in Covid-19. She has received an award from the organization Ek Aas Women Helpline. She has been awarded 1st prize in International Medical Sciences Academy for poster titled “Qualitative evaluation of problem based learning- A pilot study in Anatomy”. Her paper on The Spinoglenoid Foramen is cited in Bergman's Comprehensive Encyclopedia of Human Anatomic Variation.

She has been Joint Organizing Secretary for World Congress of Clinical Anatomists and 11th Annual conference of SOCA a national level conference of Anatomy in 2023.She is faculty in cadaveric workshops organized annually in collaboration with clinical departments. She has published original articles, review papers and case reports in indexed national and international journals. She is reviewer for peer-reviewed indexed journals. She has held executive committee post in North Chapter of Anatomists Society. She is life member of Indian Medical Association (IMA), Anatomical Society of India (ASI), Society of Clinical Anatomists (SOCA) and North Chapter of Anatomists Society (NCAS).
