About Doctor

Dr. Hem Lata did her MD Physiology from DMCH in 2001 followed by DNB Physiology in 2002 from National Board of Examination. She is a member of National Academy of Medical Sciences India (MNAMS), Executive member, Association of Physiologists of India (Punjab Chapter), Life member of Association of Physiologists & Pharmacologists of India and Life member, Academy of  Health Professions Educators. She has received formal training in medical education in "National teachers training course" at PGIMER, Chandigarh and has been awarded the Fellowship of FAIMER (Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research) in medical education at CMC Ludhiana. She is resource faculty for National Medical Commission (NMC) medical education workshops organised in the Institute and is actively involved in Institutional faculty development programs.  She is regular resource faculty in CMCL-FAIMER International fellowship in health profession education. She has been ranked as an outstanding teacher in student feedback since its inception in DMC. She has many national and international publications to her credit and presented papers in various CMEs, symposia and conferences including international conferences. She is member of the editorial board and reviewer of reputed journals. She is actively involved in various activities in institute as a member of convocation committee, admission committee, counselling & orientation committee, Disciplinary committee, Anti-ragging committee and Mentor Mentee Programme.  She has been an active member of the Institutional Medical Education Unit (MEU).  She is coordinator for various components as per New MBBS curriculum since its implementation by NMC in the Institute.
